20 free mcp servers for sales and creator work (2026 install guide).

most mcp lists are databases and dev tools. this is the other kind: servers that hold business judgment, how to price a brand deal, how to score a sales call, how to write a cold opener, so your AI agent stops guessing at work that has known answers.

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the open standard that lets AI assistants call external tools and knowledge. i maintain 20 free, open-source MCP servers for sales teams, creators, and AI agents, cataloged at github.com/closermethod/mcp-hub. every one is free, dependency-free, and installable in claude in about a minute.

what an mcp server actually does

anthropic open-sourced MCP in late 2024, and it has become the standard way to extend AI agents: openai, google, and microsoft tooling all speak it now. an mcp server is a small program that exposes tools and knowledge to any AI that connects to it. the useful mental model: a skill your agent can call, with the judgment already inside.

most public servers wrap infrastructure: databases, browsers, file systems. the catalog below wraps something rarer: operating frameworks from a decade of enterprise sales and two years of creator deals, the same material my free tools and paid systems run on.

how to install one in about a minute

  1. pick a server from the hub and open its repo.
  2. in claude code: one claude mcp add command from the README. in claude desktop: paste the README's snippet into claude_desktop_config.json.
  3. restart the client, ask your agent to use the tool, and it calls the server directly.

every README carries the exact configuration to paste, plus a disclaimer on what the server is and is not: these are frameworks and interpretation layers, not legal or financial advice.

why give the frameworks away

the same reason the rate calculator and the rest of the free tool library exist: a framework you can test beats a promise you have to trust. one creator used the free rate calculator mid-negotiation and moved a $150 offer to $800 for two videos, and posted about it publicly. the free layer is the proof; the paid systems are the same thinking installed deeper.

takeaway

your AI agent is only as good as the judgment it can call. infrastructure servers give it hands; these give it opinions that have closed deals and priced contracts. install one, ask your agent a question you would have googled, and watch the difference.
